As you continue your push across the Western Front, you will revisit previous battlefields which will, over time, bear the scars and destruction of earlier encounters. Once lush countryside will degrade into a quagmire, marked with colossal craters left by your undermined explosives.

Carve your strategies into the landscape by creating complex trench networks which will remain upon your return, as you seek to push the enemy back inch by inch. Shifting weather also plays a role; as the months draw on in the conflict, you’ll encounter weather changes such as snow and rain which will affect things like artillery performance and unit movement.
